"CLABSI Taskforce: Fighting Infection and Achieving Results" Leveraging an Interdisciplinary Approach to Eliminate CLABSI
When three patients developed a central line-associated blood stream infection (CLABSI) within just a nine-month period, the Hallmark Health System staff in Medford, Massachusetts decided to revamp their current prevention strategies and implement a more interdisciplinary, planned approach. The "CLABSI Project Plan" soon achieved two of its principal goals: zero CLABSI and zero defects.
